If you are not concerned about cost (published prices start at £295 per
night, not including breakfast) you can't do better than the Dorchester in
Park Lane. See

Holiday Inn Kensington. Good place, across from the tube, grocery
store, restaurants, pubs, etc. Big Red Tour Bus stops a block away.
Breakfast included, next to a medieval church, courtyard, swimming
pool, etc.

My wife and I love the Sloane Hotel in Chelsea...
a few blocks south of Sloane Square (and it's tube
station).
http://www.sloanehotel.com
It runs 150-250 BP

Re: London Hotels in Kensington
Just got back from 16 days the UK. Our favorite hotel was the Gresham Hyde
Park.
The Gresham Hyde Park offers a very convenient location at Lancaster Gate,
London W2 being close to Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Marble Arch.
Terry M. Klima
Park.
