Default TAP Air Portugal A340-300 Seating

Hopefully someone can help. I am flying EWR-LIS-EWR TAP
Air-Portugal's A340-300. I was able to use miles to upgrade for the
outbound segment, but not the return. How are their new seats in the
front? Service? Also, the reservation agent indicated that they
only assign exit rows at the airport. For the return, I am currently
in 27B. According to checkmytrip.com, this looks like it is an exit
seat. However, on TAP's website, it is unclear whether the exit row
is row 26 or 27. Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of which row is
actually the exit row?

Newark Airport in Newark, New Jersey--considered as one of the three major
New York City airports.

I did ask them, and was told that it wasn't an exit row (please refer
to the original post below). However, their (both TAP, and
checkmytrip.com) seatmap indicates it is. I was interested if anyone
that has actually been on TAP recently and knows for sure.
Reservation agents only pass on the info that they have. I was once
told by another airline agent that all rows of a particular aircraft
on airline xyz have the same seat pitch, including exit rows.
However, I knew that this was not the case. Hence the reason form my
post. Often travellers in newsgroup forums have more accurate
knowledge.
