Dear all, I have to travel from London to Dublin, and upon my return,
travel immediately to Paris for a short while. On an airline like BA whose
hub is in London, it seems this comprises the same flight segments as a
return Dublin-Paris flight, only rearranged:
what I want:
London-Dublin
Dublin-London
London-Paris
Paris London
return Dublin-Paris:
Dublin-London
London-Paris
Paris-London
London Dublin
The latter fare is much cheaper. Has anyone had luck, with any of the
airlines, purchasing a return ticket then making changes on some of the
segments for a small change fee, to save money on an otherwise-separate
combination of flights? Do you think it's possible?

The terms and conditions of IATA carriers say something along the lines of
"all flights smut be used in the order they are booked and ticketed."
Therefore, officially, the answer is "no". And I think practically you may
have a problem as well in that BA now pretty well insist you have an ET and
that makes it easier for them to police.

What you can do is to book Dublin-London-Paris-London-Dublin, and then
not use the last segment. In this case you will need to book another
flight London-Dublin (they are very cheap anyway).
