We are looking for some modern, hip london hotels that will not break
the bank. We found some we like and would like some tips on finding
the best prices for these or just some pointers and opinions on these
or other similar hotels.
We liked:
K West
Ceasar
Art & Tech (Cumberland)
Kensington Close
57 Pont Street
Also some chick apartments will do as well.
We will be going on July 29-August 4 2003
Thanks in advance.

You will probably get the best prices by phoning up and asking the
reservations clerk for any special deals, holiday rates, etc.

The Times has some hotel reviews at
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,4641,00.html
They are showing the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt, South Kensington (4*) at
GBP100 a night at:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,1023,00.html
and have discounted rates for this group at
http://www.myedwardian.com/times/
At the House Hotel Hampstead they mention a weekend package of two nights'
accommodation, concert tickets at nearby Kenwood House, and a gourmet picnic
for £150pp.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...365417,00.html
The Sofitel St James is offering 40% off rack with B&B at £229 *per room*
per night inc VAT until September 3 - the chef at the Brasserie Roux is
Albert Roux.
| Also some chick apartments will do as well.
Chick apartments are located around King's Cross. Chic apartments I don't
know :-)
Hope that gives you some ideas

I've been looking to stay in chick apartments my entire adult life, with limited
success. Unfortunately, one of my rare successes did in fact "break the bank".

I seem to remember a TV show where the hotel proprietor kept chickens under
buckets in the rooms. Can't remember why.
