Want scenery, scenery, and more scenery.
Would like to travel thru the area (week to 10 days or so) and need some
suggestions as to in what regions to look for B&B or other hotel
accomodations. Have in mind using train and/or car for local travel
throughout area. Would also consider proximity to Switzerland a plus. Any
suggestions?

If you want scenery, scenery, scenery, it is difficult to beat Dolomites
- say, the Grödnertal/Gardena valley, the areas around the Sella and
Catinaccio mountains, the area around Cortina and the Falzarego pass,
and maybe Sesto/Sexten in Pusteria area. Not particularly close to
Switzerland, however.
