I am looking for a pension/B&B/inn (2 star level) around Brugges, Belgium
and Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber for a night apiece. Any recommendations?
Brugges will be on the way to Paris and Rothenburg will be on the way to
Berlin.

and Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber for a night apiece. Any recommendations?

In mid-april this year we liked Der Schwarzer Adler app. 15 km outside of
Rothenburg.
We were 2 adults and our 6 months old daughter.
Nice big rooms, friendly to children, nice food and a very nice and helpful
host family that seemed to know most of the local costumers.
Early May we tried another inn in Schweinsdorf 4 km outside of Rothenburg -
an old inn right next to the graveyard and church...The name eludes me at
the moment.
Food still nice, but the owners weren't as charming - in fact the patroness
was somewhat spooky, extremely difficult to chat up, turning up at the table
soundlessly and just observing us eat without a word for ½ minutes at a
time.
Formally she was very polite and we were the only custumers that
evening/morning.
Both my husband and I wouldn't have been surprised if we had woken up and
she would have been standing staring at us at the end of the bed ;-)
We found both places in the folder Kleine Preise für die Reise published by
the German tourist authorities.
Best regards

The following website has extensive list of accomidations in and around
Brugges.
http://www.brugge.be/verblijf/en/menlogies.htm
The home page http://www.brugge.be is multi-lingual and offers
information about sightseeing and events.
We enjoyed our stage at the 3* Hotel Adornes in Brugges. Excellent
breakfest buffet, friendly family run establishment, free loan of
bicycles for riding around, private underground parking for guests.

I absolutely loved a B&B in Brugge called "Number 11"
(http://users.pandora.be/number11/). It's incredibly
comfortable, very centrally located, magnificent breakfasts,
charming hosts.
