Depends on the traffic obviously, but it's about 90 miles and a Saturday
morning shouldn't be too bad. The journey can be done all on the motorways,
so between an hour and 2 hours depending on how fast you drive, probably
nearer 2 hours if there's heavy traffic.

Thanks for the information. Looks like we will make our plane with
now problems, at least as far as time goes.

There is also a direct (but slow) rail link www.networkrail.co.uk which may
work out cheaper than hireing a car.

Or a prettier route via the coast if you have plenty of time to spare.

No time to spare, Our flight from Gatwick departs at 1:45 PM. Have
hired a van and wanted to confirm their drive time estimate. Two
couple sharing the van so the cost is no more than Princess Cruises
wants for us to use their 55 passenger coach.

I wish we did have more time to spare, but we will be spending a week
in the Cotswolds prior to the cruise. And most of the ports where we
will stopping are in England, Ireland and Scotland, so will get a
chance to enjoy some of the countryside.

Spent a couple of years at the US Embassy in London and fell in love
with the Great Britian.
