Hello everyone. I'm going to be in southern/central Spain for June
and July at a language school. As a historian, I am most interested
in pre-16th century Spain. I had planned on 2 weeks Salamanca, 2 wks
Seville, and 4 weeks Granada. Sadly, my school doesn't offer anything
in Toledo, so I'm going to have to go on weekends on my own. I've
also heard that Segovia is well worth the visit. I'm on a really,
really tight budget, so minumizing travel costs is important. In you
all's opinion, would I get to see more if I stay in Granada for 2weeks
and in Salamanca and Seville for 3 weeks?

cut down on Granada, add Cadiz and you must go to Cordoba and the
mezquita

Maybe 4 weeks in Granada is pushing it. If you are spending more time in
Seville you may be able to spend some time down on the coast (Costa de la
Luz) such as the Cadiz Bay or Chipiona. You can get down quite inexpensively
using local bus compnaies. For example a return fare from Seville to Cadiz
is Euros 13.22 and takes 1hr 35 mins each way. That's with bus compnay
called TRANSPOTES GENERALES COMES. There are 9 busses a day. Then you could
always use the train but it will be a bit more expensive. June and July is
bound to be hot and you may welcome the chance to cool off in the Atlantic !
