J'ai découvert que tout le malheur des hommes vient d'une seule chose, qui
est de ne savoir pas demeurer en repos dans une chambre.

Three shots with almost the same content as mine...

Does rather seem that way, doesn't it. (In fact, so does Edinburgh,
they just have different things dug up or dismantled - I once
contemplated spoofing the local cultural bodies here with a proposal
for a World Festival of Scaffolding).

capital of the Balkans and SEE region!

English is not my languaage (I am french) so I try to write here something
simple.
In fact Sarjevo and Mostar (that I have not yet commented (the whole
"Balkans section is under construction on my website) are repairing their
town with great energy. I think in a few years (1,2,3,... ) you will see
very few marks left of the war(s) that begun in 1992.
Here this picture of the rehabiltation of a building is a good example

On my pictures Sarjevo looks a bit sad because there as vey bad weahter,
rain, ...
Of course tourists or travellers are striked by the destructions caused by a
war. (I was born largely after WWII and I had never seen this before)
I have to say still that people that I met in these towns were particulary
kind.
People who have lost some members of their family tolds me "Forgive but not
forget". Of cause those people are very sad. But I believe now the peace is
there.
