I have just booked a room on the Avenue des Nations near the Parc des
Expositions RER station. Anybody been around that neighborhood enough to
tell me if that's some place I want to be walking at 9:00 p.m. in the
summer? I will need to make train reservations soon.
Thanks in advance.

FWIW, the Parc des Expositions RER station isn't anywhere near Paris; it is
many miles north, close to Charles de Gaulle airport (in fact, the airport
is the next stop). I don't recall there being much up that way, apart from
the expositions center. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the safety of the
area, but my guess is that it's likely to be more dead than dangerous at
night.

Actually, I'm aware it's in the middle of noplace. As it happens, I have to
pick up my son at the airport the next day, and was found this hotel as a
'cheap' place near the airport, so I'm trying to time my arrival to be as
efficient as possible. Thanks for your reply.

They didn't want to, but there was no way to back out of the deal. They
swore they'd find a way to get back at the person who sold them the
agreement, but I don't know how.
