Info needed re best European cities to commence RTW travel, eg Star Alliance
routing, with reference to available discounting, consolidation etc for
Business Class fares.
Agents, sales offices, or direct with airlines?
Availabilty of special fares etc?
Is there a newsgroup that swaps up to date information on the above,
specially with regard to European ticketing rather than US ticketing?
Any suggestions, advice or comments will be appreciated
Thanks

Since you specify a Star ticket you are locked into their fare
structure. I doubt that anyone can get a differential rate. There will
be some differences based on currency changes since the annual rates are
set but that shouldn't amount to much at this point in the year.
You probably will do as well with the airline RTW desk as anywhere else.
You need to work with whatever airline you will make your first trans
oceanic flight.
