Just curious as to why you wanted to be near the Coliseum. I
don't think it's a bad place to be, but it's on the fringes of
the main tourist attractions. I think there are several
considerably more convenient locations.

I'm going to the McCartney concert at the coliseum in May and I just want to be
close by.

Try www.venere.com it has a option to find hotels by location.
If it's within your budget (it's not in mine BTW the 4* Hotel Forum
is just down the street (~750m) and I have read many positive posts
about it. Regards, Walter

If that was in reply to my question (you didn't quote anything,
so I can't be sure), OK, if that's your main interest in going to
Rome, I understand. Sorry, I can't help you with specific
recommendations in that part of town.
