Default resort

I am looking for suggestions for a one week stay at two or three
resorts. I want to meet some people, but mainly I want a resort that
offers day trips to historical sights.

I am thinking of someplace warm and sunny, although I am not someone
who lies on the beach for hours, I do like warm climates. I am an avid
photgrapher and want to take some photos of people having fun.

I toured Scandinavia last year and this year I hope to go at a slower
pace. I tend to get very tired, so that's why I am thinking of a
resort with day trips. Do you have any suggestions?

Barcelona is warmer and a really friendly place

Italy,
A week at Sorrento - views over Bay of Naples to Vesuvius, easy access via
the Circumvesuviana railway to Naples, Pompeii etc
Buses to Amalfi, boats to Capri, trips to Vesuvius, Paestum (Greek
Settlement)

A week on Sicily - Etna, Taromina, Syracusa, Nota Palermo etc

Not sure what you mean by "want to take some photos of people having fun".

Thank you for your suggestions.

Regarding my idea for photos: I hope to take photos of people playing
games, riding bikes, jumping or diving into water.

There is no law against taking photographs in public places. However,
yes, I ask permission. Are you suspicious for some reason?

Well, it does sound a little suspicious to want to photo people doing
those things.

what is wrong with taking photos of people playing games or having
fun? Only in America, the land of the free, would this be seen as
something evil. Not that I have any need or reason to explain to you
or anyoone else, I will: I am planning a photo-essay from various
cultures on the games people play. I ask permission, and I get
releases. Now, let me ask you something: what went through your
mind? and more important, what does that say about you?
