questions about Belgium travel

I think 6 of Centraal's platforms are open right now. however, since
Centraal is on spur, most of the long distance trains do not stop there --
except on weekends.

they are no smaller than usual, and you catch the AMS train in Berchem
(the next station along from Centraal)
