I can believe some upstate New Yorkers call it "pass-tuh" because that
is a common pronunciation in Canada. They also call the Japanese
automaker "Mazz-duh", rather than the American "Mozz-duh". Living on
the border with Canada and working closely with Canadians affords me
such thrilling insights.
