Prague Flood Damage?
How much of the Old Town was (is?) flooded? What is the extent of
architectural damage?

Fortunately, all famous and admired tourist attractions resisted (Charles Bridge in
Prague, UNESCO Heritage Cesky Krumlov) or they were intact (Prague Castle & Jewish
City, Prague). However metro service will not be restored for a couple of month.

We had been planning to take the train from Munich to Prague the first week in
October. Do you think they will have the metro service running then? Do you think
it would still be worth the trip?

I think it'll be worth the trip. The metro got flooded, the water broke in at
two different sections, but the trains are running on a small portion of a
different branch.

I think it'll be worth the trip. The metro got flooded, the water broke in at
two different sections, but the trains are running on a small portion of a
different branch.

Well, the army and volunteers are cleaning and disinfecting round the clock and there
are sections in the Old Town that are already back in the original state. On the
other hand, today there were 3 tenement houses in the Karlin district that
collapsed....
