The location is OK, but not my preferred part of town. The price is on
the high side for a "pensione", which usually doesn't have all the
services of a hotel. The web site says it's on two floors of a building.
I would ask which two floors and keep in mind, if you're American, that
you have to add one floor, because the European 1st floor is what
Americans call the 2nd floor.

Any recommendations for sub 100 Euro accomdations in Rome?
We don't really need a full service hotel, but a private bathroom is
prefferred.
Would we be better off staying near Piazza Navona? This is
our first trip to Italy & it's a bit overwhelming to sort thru all of
the potential options.
Thanks

I like La Lunetta (well under $100), near the Campo dei Fiori and also
near Piazza Navona. They have rooms with and without private bath. The
hotel is on a quiet little piazza (really just a wide space in the
street). There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the staff are kind
and helpful, although their English isn't perfect.

There are other inexpensive hotels in this area; Let's Go Italy is an
excellent resource for under 100 Euro accomodations.

I greatly prefer this area. It's near everything, including good
transportation options. From La Lunetta, I walk to the Vatican, to
Trastevere, and to the Roman Forum area. These are walks of around half
an hour, but I love walking around Rome.
