PAYG with Turkcell?

Looking at the Turkcell website, the only kinds of account I can see
are preposterously heavyweight things involving a ridiculous amount
of paperwork. Don't they (or some other mobile phone provider in
Turkey) have any sign-up-in-a-minute prepaid charging scheme like
the UK pay-as-you-go ones? (What's the Turkish for "pay as you go"
in this context? - I don't have a recent enough dictionary).
We can use a UK Orange phone via roaming, but I'd rather have a local
account as well - seems daft to use an international call to find if
there are rooms in a hotel a few hundred metres away.

Yes!! Just go to any Turkcell shop (common!) and you can get a pre-paid
sim - last September cost 25 million TKL and included 100 'konturs'.
Recharge is easy too!!
Don't come into any of the sims you buy before you get to Turkey - they work
just fine, but cost the earth!!!
