Default Oslo, Copenhagen, & Gothenburg expensive weekends

Stockholm seems to be a city where during most of the year, hotels
are generally more expensive during the week, and cheaper on the
weekends because of business travelers (i.e. they are not staying in
hotels on the weekend). Is this also true of Oslo, Copenhagen, and
Gothenburg?

On a related note, does someone have a URL that notes the main
events & conventions in Oslo, Copenhagen, and Gothenburg? I
hate planning a trip only then to discover that every hotel in town
will be booked at that time.

Best not to speculate impact on hotels if you can check the
real thing. Needn't contact indiv hotels but you can use sites
like travelhero or travelnow that IIRC responds to the dates you
type in and just gives a list of hotel/prices avail for that date.

Sure, this is overconservative due to not covering all hotels
(or even many in scand.) and not covering all rooms in covered
hotels. But when they do have a room, that tells you something.
I had a lot of trouble with weekday conventions in Norway lately,
and did have to finalize things with a flurry of emails though.
