The Children overboard thing was just a big Howard lie? WOMD on every
street corner in Iraq? I'm sure if I held up a sign with the word
truth on it, Howard and Costello would throw they caps over their
heads and run like I showed a cross to a vampire!

your refering to all of Howards failed policies of course. By the way
have you liberals figured out how to get those multi-millions back
that Costello lost in that currency speculation scam? Found the WMD
yet? The Baghdad Target or K-Mart might have them or the dog ate
them?

Decency and fairness is always leftist, its opposed to what the right
does which is usually unfair and indecent.

I don't have republican computers, they all work fine and don't demand
money every time I boot up or pass a collection plate.

And you only managed 6% of the vote. Wota surprise.

And there were only 3 candidates to vote for, too.

Rather pathetic, really.

Does SANE support any slide scanners? I got tired of looking. The $79
PrimeFilm 1800u from Costco.com is OK, but the winsoftware is flaky. My
winmachine seems to have lost its parallel port, but when it was working
I could get twice the resolution on my cheap Mustek scanner as when I
ran it under linux.

I like adding fuel to fires:

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/eco_gdp_cap

and

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/lab_hou_wor

Draw your own conclusions. A quick calculation based on the figures in
these charts:

US GDP per person per hour worked: $20.08
France GDP per person per hour worked: $17.82

At my company, the salaried guys get 3 weeks a year... eventually. The
first year is 1 week, the second and third years are 2 weeks. After
the third year you get 3 weeks. We also have 10 paid holidays
scattered throughout the year for a total of 25 paid days off. Grand
total hours worked a year are 2080-25*8 = 1880

The hourly guys top out at 2 weeks paid vacation a year. They are
equipment operators and travel alot for the company. The company keeps
them on the road for 3 weeks and then they are home a week. The weeks
they are out, they are guaranteed at least 10 hours a day whether they
work or not. So they get 70 hours minimum when they are on the road.
I estimate they work about 2730 hours a year. About 1170 are overtime
hours.
