Yes, so your original 'this is conjecture' is just plain wrong with
lung cancer where its been well established to be primarily toxins.

And with lung cancer its not primarily a disease of old age
either in the sense of life expectancys seen in modern times.

I know somebody who got out of NL without a passport and into UK with
his driving license and a strong regional accent.

Actually, it was what mostly EVERYBODY else did, much to my
frustration. I wasn't able to continue working there because I had a
very strong work ethic and I actually answered the telephone when it
rang. Much to the displeasure of my co-workers.

Just recounting what happened. At the time I was working for a
medical billing firm. Unfortunately, I didnt' work there very long
because I couldn't stand to see people ignored when they were calling
for help and clarification of the EOBs (Explanation of benefits).
Sadly, the company I worked for was more concerned with planning baby
showers for their pregnant employees than actually providing the
service that they were being paid for.

In all fairness certain Americans do get lots of vacation. George W. Bush
for example spent 44% of his time on vacation through 09/11/01.

The 2nd problem strongly encourages the first problem. US companies are
at a natural disadvantage in labor costs because they get stuck paying
for health care while every other first world country has a univeral
health care system. Because of these inflated labor costs American
companies in particular have a special incentive to hire as few workers
as possible and while giving each worker as little vacation time as possible.
A screwed up health care system is a large part of the reason Americans
have the lowest vacation levels of the entire first world.

In Texas Walmart is causing every grocery store chain in the area to
start phasing out health insurance for their workers. Another American
success story.

assistance programs they may qualify for, in light of their low incomes.
