Default Olympic Games 2004

Hello,

Im planning to attend the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

Im planning to fly out on Friday 20th August 2004 and return on Sunday
29th July 2004. Can anybody give me any tips on good places to eat in
Athens, Good nightlife, How good the transportation is in Athens, Do
the trains and Cabs run 24 hrs a day?. Can you buy tickets on the day
for sertain events, etc.

Cheers!

not being rude, but as there's never been an Olympics held in
Athens before, how is anyone going to have the faintest idea
whether there will be any tickets left for 'on the day' purchase?

There isn't really any way of knowing. The only Olympics I've been to were
in Seoul, S. Korea, and getting tickets was very difficult (and pretty
much out of the question on the day of the event).

You might be able to get tickets for the more obscure sports, I suppose.

Ok so I forgot about the other two but I think you'll find
the ancient ones were somewhere else. Kind of in the town
they are named after

Umm, 25,000 years ago humans were just beginning to paint animal pictures
on cave walls!

Ancient Olympics were held in Olympia.

it! ;-)

If you're going to pipe in with your "know-it-all" corrections that have no
value in responding to the poster but only to serve as a vehicle for you to
attempt to display your intellect to all, be prepared to have your glaring
errors posted back.

"Whatever" doesn't cut it - there were two points you responded to and you
blew them both.

Thenkyew - you bin very hepful
