Default Moving from Canada to Europe

Could anyone please share their experience moving a complete household
and car from Western Canada to Europe?
Could you also recommend some good international movers?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Calagan

for smaller loads, Allports International in vancouver used to be good
but it has been bought out by a big name mover.

Many years ago we had good service and reasonable prices moving to
England from McCosham's in Edmonton (I'm not sure if they're Edmonton
only, or even if they still exist).

One thing worth checking out is the comparative cost of port-to-port
and door-to-door shipping; you may find that it is quite a bit cheaper
to have your stuff shipped to the port of entry in Europe. You just
rent a van and a couple of strong guys for the day to move it to your
European home yourself, rather than getting it delivered there.

I imagine, though I don't know, that you might make similar savings if
you also delivered the shipment to the Canadian port yourself: though
in that case you might miss out on the packing services which IMHO are
one of the great benefits of using professional movers!
