La Jonction in Chamonix/Les Houches is a must. If I'd have to do only one
day hike in Chamonix, this would be it. Views? Word spectacular is not
enough to describe it :-)

Default Morzine/Chamonix, France hiking?

Looking for any experiences / recommendations anyone can relate on hiking in
& around Morzine and Chamonix. We're probably not up to dealing with the
4800m elevation and "bowling alley" of Mont Blanc, or anything technical,
but would like to challenge ourselves with some day hikes in the range of 15
to 30km in distance with spectacular scenery. Any info greatly appreciated.
