Mobile phones - Calling AU from France

Anyone know of the best deals on ringing AU from France on a mobile phone?

Global roaming using our existing Telstra account is expensive - is there a
French phone card that offers reasonable rates?

One option which I find works well (though I use it in the UK, not in
France):
Get a French card then use Rebtel www.rebtel.com which will give you a
French number to call for each Australian number you register with them.
Call the French number at domestic mobile rates and it will automatically
call the Aussie number at VoIP rates, a few cents a second to a mobile I
think.

It may be no cheaper than buying an international discount calling card in
France, but is easier than finding those cards then dialling the account and
pin numbers and the Aussie number.
