You're wearing a sleeve? Traitor! :)
It's t-shirt weather here! Aside from occasionally heating the towel
rails, we've yet to have to run the heat on here, which seems unusual...

Not since I stopped work.
I sometimes snigger up the sleeve of an old pullover the cat sleeps
on. I sometimes get carried away and chortle all over the cat.

Our heating has been on a couple of time this week.
Nobody mentioned airco being on and walls as hot as the surface of a
star or whatever.

Still no need here, but the house I moved from several months ago was
quite draughty, so I might have needed it there by now.

It's important to keep the cockpit at a comfortable temperature, don't

No, sheer convenience.
I consider ever trip to Milan to be an unpleasant experience, and
eating at McDs just shortens it a little.

You couldn't just have got a nice panino or something at the train
station bar? Probably cheaper, and a hell of a lot tastier. I just can't
figure out why anyone would want to go to McDs given the alternatives.
Sure, I've had McDs in the past (alluding to Martin's 'honesty' point)
but I would never go now. If I feel the need for a greasy burger in the
UK (rare) I'll buy one from a cafe (pronounced caff!) type of place. The
one just outside Manchester Piccadilly is good!

The last 'fast food' I had in Italy was a few weeks ago at 6am at
Trieste's Centrale station. I was served in a couple of minutes with a
delicious panino. I didn't order a coffee, but had a delicious one an
hour or so later at Udine where I changed trains, only to spoil it with
a train coffee somewhere south of the Austrian border! :)

Even though they are no longer greasy and most of the nutritional
things have been corrected. I think McDs are probably the safest food
source. They know that if they put anything yuck in it some food
expert is going to spot it under a microscope and publish just like
they did in the nineteen sixties.
Nobody has a cue what is in a run of a mill greasy spoon hamburger and
there is no money to be made publishing whatever the contents are.
