hi there :-) we are going to madrid ourselves on 12th June to 18th
June. at the moment now looking at options we can use to call back
home (UK & Italy.)

But to answer your question. A site I found whilst booking my hotel
is http://www.hostelworld.com/ it had some very cheap hostels. in
the end we book our hotel through Royal Bank of Scotland travel
service, where we got 50% off the price of the room. hence staying at
a 4 star hotel for only £300 :-).
