Hi there..
I am looking for a ~7day trip, starting London, covering Paris to
Rome.Preferably one way return by air, onward journey by land (bus or
train I don't care, as long as the tour company handles the transfers
etc.).
Any suggestion on tour companies that offer this type of tour. I am not
interested to spend any time in London as part of the trip though, as
long as the origin and termination of the trip is London.
Any starting point would be appreciated.

Air all the way will be slightly quicker even once you take into account
getting to airports, checking in etc. - it's a 15-hour train trip - but of
course the train will likely be more interesting.

Are you looking for a tour that includes a guide within Paris and Rome, or
just for a package comprising transport and accommodation? The latter you
could arrange yourself quite easily.

For the air sector, any number of airlines fly between London and Rome,
including Ryannair.
The train journey between London and Rome is rather long, so I suggest
breaking it in Paris and somewhere between Paris and Rome. You can
easily make your own train reservation on voyages-sncf (French railway
site) and I don't think you will need a guide.
