You might try:
http://www.welcomehomes.co.uk/lista.htm
But for two people they are also going to be in the 40 and 50 range in
a lot of areas. They are B&B, not really hostel, but I saw a few
listings for 15 to 18 per person. There's a couple of lists out
there.
Anyone know anything about Charlotte Guest House? They used to
advertise as a hostel, although are more of a B&B from their
description. They run about 55 for two people and I'm wondering if
they are nice/rundown/awful whatever. They are in West Hampstead
London.

So they do, and I sit corrected. That's most interesting. I've never
gotten a single there that cheaply, either through booking or as a
walk-in.

Presumably they have dropped their prices for the winter season.

I have compiled a partial list of London hostels with prices ranges
included here:
http://www.chatarea.com/Backpackers.m1564755
I'll add to it later as I find more of them, but it's not a bad list
of the budget accommodation available.
