You know what I thinkof Bush no doubt but I will admit that his opening
to the speech where he welcomed the first ever *Madam* Speaker was
extremely gracious and very well put. It showed that there is still much
southern politeness in his soul. I salute him for that at least

For what it is worth, my wife and I last visited the Paris area several
years ago, in June, staying in the Trianon Palace in Versailles for
several days. Although our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and
congenial, we vowed never to return to the Paris area due to discomfort
from the the air quality in the environs. Neither of us are smokers or
have respiratory problems. Since I am not a city person, I had
visited Paris off and on maybe every other year or so since '68,
usually for no more than a few days at a time. The excerpt below is
unfortunately consistent with what we will remember about our last
visit to the Paris metro area.

However, I can't say Paris is any worse than some of our urban areas in
the US which as non-urbanites we avoid also.

want to keep all the pictures I already have in one place, I'll go to
the local library and transfer to the laptop and copy wirelss to the
internet from there when I get time. I'll also dig out some old
pictures of travels for the past 40 years and transfer them to the
digital too. Been meaning to do it anyhow. Will do it when I get to it

I'm not a Mac-ist but I deal with them occasionally, as far as I know
there is no problÚm transferring them, IIRC the camera appears on the
desktop when plugged in (if necessary after setting the camera to
'transfer', which some models require (see doc)) just like the Hard Disk
and then you just copy the stuff off into a folder of your choice.

Set your camera to behave like a hard drive. Connect to the USB port.
Switch camera on.
