It all made me laugh. Yours was far better than the mag's version.

I really was trying to avoid commenting on the World Cup, but,

Uh... England didn't score either and no one wins with one player

Yes, the yellow cards are a bit of worry. But by all accounts Portugal has
been rated better than France since the begining. So, I don't see why
"tile" would say France should be in the final even if he thinks Portugal
would be a better adversary.

Portugal is always under-rated. They did make it to the finals of the
European Championship. It's purely big country prejudice!
Anyway, I'd be happy with an Italian or Portuguese World Cup win (which
means France will win!! :o)

We'll see soon enough.

well, you wouldn't expect to score with one down, but they looked
quite close to doing so a few times.

Argentina were well rated!

I just realised I've been to all the countries in the last 4,
that's probably unusual for me.

one of the defining moments (no kidding!) in post-war italian history was
the world cup semi-final in Mexico, 1970, when Italy beat Germany 4-3.

The Germany-Italy match was the most memorable match of the World Cup
2006 .

Germans like to insult and denigrate anything italian or souther
european as something "inferior" , so it's specially funny to see this
teutons LOSE to Italy on it's own World Cup in Germany .

The italians were STRONGER .

I remember the 1982 final in Madrid , and it was an spectacle by the
italians . They overrun the germans .

Never the germans have won Italy in a World Cup .

    >From the 3 world cup titles , 2 were unjust . The 1990 final was a
shame . The worst final in history won by Germany on an UNJUST penalty.

In 1974 the Clockwork Orange of Cruyff deserve to win over the mediocre
germans.

In contrast i really enjoyed the 1982 and the 1986 final verus
Argentina in Mejico .

I NEVER liked the germans playing footballl , ... NEVER . not with the
selection , nor in clubs . They are way below Italy , France, UK, Spain
, etc.
