(Not really my question, but posted on behalf of someone on a
conferencing system I use.)
Street Maps
Does anyone know of a non-subscription web site that carries street maps
of Ireland, particularly the greater Dublin area out as far as the
airport, Lucan, Black Rock and beyond?
I see that www.streetmap.ie is due to launch in the spring, but apart from
that I've found nothing.

I think the AA Route Planner will do the Republic of Ireland and may
have what you want.

The RAC website route finder has good routemaps but I'm not sure about
loaction www.rac.co.uk
Certainly www.viamichelin.com goes down to street map level and covers
Ireland.

You could try http://interactive2.iol.ie/maps/content/iolmap.asp - its a bit
patchy but may have the desired location. In some places it features
satellite shots of streets etc.

Actually I´ve just been on that site and for some pages it charges 50cent so
maybe it mightn´t be much use after all.

When I was planning my trip to Ireland I found a site that had maps as
detailed as the Ordinance Survey maps.
It's at www.oceanfree.net.
Enjoy your trip.
