I would say it is rather on the expensive side ... ?
Did you get a reservation or went there improvising?

The airlines were one way tickets on the moment so an extra ?200 us
dollars each.
The housing was without reservation except for a weekly cottage rental.

- the sports stadium in Dublin is Croke Park. You can find out more
about the sport you were watching here: <http://www.gaa.ie/>
- the rocky place you saw near Limerick is The Burren
<http://www.burrenbeo.com/>
- Dingle is in the south west corner of Ireland
