I am considering a trip to Israel from Chicago in March. Currently
Iberia is the least expensive, $682RT. A great price.
Has anyone had any experience on Iberia on cross Atlantic and middle
east routes? Service, comfort, timeliness? Any comments about this
airlines would be appreciated.

Is that price all inclusive?
Because I can see all in prices - Chicago to Tel Aviv, of $692, for 14-15,
20-21, days with LOT & El Al., US Airways & El Al, and $670, all in for
16-17 day trips, again with US Airways and El Al.

I use them short haul, no complaints. They have stopped free food
etc like a lot of people, as they, like other national carriers,
have to compete with the no frills airlines, IIRC that may not
apply transatlantic though.

It doesn't, free food on long-haul still and free drinks.
I just used them on LPA-MAD, albeit in business class at short notice
(an ouch, farewise) and was very, very impressed. I'd actually rate that
flight considerably higher than most of the BA Club Europe flights I've
taken this year.

My planned trip is for 10 days. The price I got on Iberia's site is
inclusive of taxes.
