I didn't notice a post office in the part of CDG with the RER station.
Is there one there?

You don't really need coins to buy tickets for RER or metro. Ticket vending
machines accept ATM-charge cards and Credit Cards. And if you are unwilling
or unable to use a card, be assured that most, if not all, metro and RER
stations have manned ticket windows. Especially the one on CDG.

Certainly not true 18 months ago at CDG. And if there were manned
counters they were not sign posted and there were a bunch of travelers
who didn't find them. Cards would not work, even european ones, and the
machines would not take paper -- coins only.
