Default Hotels in London and Paris

Greetings! While I travel with my family [Husband, wife and a daughter]
in USA, I always stay in Holiday Inn Express or Holiday Inn as I am a
Prority club member. Are there any similar hotel chains in UK and
Paris? Can I get similar rooms under one hundred British pounds? In UK
we probably stay in hotels in London, Bristol and in Sheffield. With
thanks.

In the UK I'd recommend www.travelinn.co.uk or www.travelodge.co.uk -
though Holiday Inn are also represented there.
In Paris (and in other parts of Europe including the UK) I'd recommend
www.ibishotels.com
The rooms may be somewhat smaller and more simply furnished than those in
the USA, but I have invariably found them clean and well maintained.

There are similar hotels but Holiday Inns is a huge worldwide chain and there
are 38 genuine ones in London and 25 in central Paris.

If you want to check for other hotels similar to Holiday Inns, try www.ase.net
and the Michelin site, which is

There are Holiday Inn's in Europe. I used to stay at them in the US on
business, as that is what the company booked at times. Is not my favorite
hotel, but while in Europe, I stay in more resonable hotels and local to the
country hotels. Makes for a more interesting stay. I stayed in the Hotel
Notre Dame in Bayeux. Not as upscale as HI, but a lot more interesting and
friendly.

There's certainly a Holiday Inn express near Old Street in London.
I'm not sure about the prices, though I'd have thought that under £100
for a family room is going to limit your choice

I don't understand why he didn't just ask Holiday Inn.

And he obviously doesn't know that the Holiday Inn Brand is
British-owned.
