Hostel Fuentes in Madrid
A friend and I shall be in Madrid for about a week in early December. We
have reservations at Las Fuentes for 60 euro per night (VAT included). Any
comments on the hostel or price?

I've heard a few good reviews about Hostal Las Fuentes (web:
http://www.hostallasfuentes.com/ ). It's very very well located too,
right on the Plaza de la Opera which is about halfway between the
Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace. The price you quote below, 60
Euros per night, is for a KING ROOM. The standard twin room price is
57.10 Euros. The price is on the higher end but that's probably
somewhat because of its location.
You'll love Madrid and Spain, I'm sure of that. Enjoy!
