This in my email this a.m. from a financial link.......



Our intelligence source Debka is reporting in their weekly edition that
"American and British special forces have begun taking over Iraqi oil fields
close to the Kuwait border and around the port town of Basra, in audacious
commando operations. These fields account for three-quarters of Iraq's oil
output."

Apparently the commandos are encountering little or no resistance. This is
big news, as it looks like -- unknown to the world -- the military campaign
to topple Saddam's regime in Iraq is already underway. Action is being taken
now to seize these oilfields in response to Saddam's directive to blow up
these fields upon any American or Turkish invasion.

Actually it's over. The US has decided, instead of paying Turkey 40
billions, to use that money to pay Saddam to allow the US to station troops
in Iraq. Same amount of money, same result, but bypass the fighting and
casualties. Everyone is happy. So travel all you want.

I received the same information that JD did. It came in an email message
from 21st Century Alert, an investment newsletter that I've been receiving
on a free trial basis. They did not provide a link; they just told readers
to go to their Web site and look in their research area for the report from
Debka (http://www.21stcenturyalert.com/page/tcx/). However, you have to be
a paid subscriber to access that information, so I couldn't get to it. The
direct link to Debka is http://www.debka.com/, and it looks like they
provide at least some articles for free. I have no idea whether Debka is
the slightest bit reliable or whether it's just propaganda though.

Ditto to the above. I saw it early on the West Coast and posted it.
I wasn't able to find other public verification, but DEBKA.com is, I think,
a pretty good source. They are sometimes.... or some would say
frequently wrong, but sometimes they're the first to publish. Time will
tell. jd
