Default Google Earth and Eiffel Tower

If you have Google earth, have a look at the Eiffel tower: it's
spectacular! In general, the views of central Paris are very
high resolution.

I recently had to entertain a friend's niece and nephew for about an
hour. I have no kid-friendly stuff in my house and they had never seen
Google Earth before so I thought they may express interest.

Apparently, it was a hit. At a wedding last weekend their Keeper told
me they raved for days about how kewl it was and, by extension, how
cool I was.

Here' s some worthwhile sites to find and flag:

Eiffel Tower
Pyramids of Giza
Colosseum in Rome
Big Ben
Stonehenge
WTC pit
Empire State Building
Wash DC mall
Pentagon
Seattle Space Needle
Taj Majal
Forbidden City, China
Grand Canyon, AZ (esp at low angle!)

If anybody has any good ones, let me know.

Area 51. (No, I'm not kidding.... If you look carefully, you can find two
MiG 29s in one of the 'parking' areas.)

Much of that part of England is pretty good. I wonder when York will get
decent resolution though, or further north, most of Edinburgh? Another
let-down is Bergen, Norway. The building I live in here in Manchester is
still getting built, according to the photo!

Duh! Both Solingen and Sheffield are/were manufacturers of special
steels and locations of sharp knife makers.

They couldn't get the high resolution because of all the rainclouds. ;-)

They have Salzburg, but with snow- which is fine, except the weather
suddenly improves as you move away! :)

Rome: the Colosseum, Vatican and Pantheon.

Berlin: the Jewish Museum, Reichstag, and the ruins of the Kaiser
Wilhelm Church.

The gardens of Versailles are quite detailed.
