Time to upgrade, Mike. For £800 you can get a demon of a machine
nowadays!

And does narrowband even exist in London? I would have thought not.

I noticed that nearly all the labels for small German towns are miles
out. Have they mixed up projections?

In general, labels for street addresses turn out to be about
50-100 yards from the actual locations. I don't know if this is
deliberate but it seems to be consistent.

The labels of English towns are also often in the wrong place.

No, the bridge near Maryhill is just the bridge connecting highway 97 in
Washington with the same highway through Oregon. Bridge of the Gods is
some 50 or so miles west of Maryhill, connecting Cascade Locks on the
Oregon side with Washington. From Cascade Locks to The Dalles is great
windsurfing, centered on the town of Hood River. Yes, the name of the
town is "The Dalles." Don't ask.

I'll take your word for it. Thank you for the correction.

I've just finished reading a newspaper article which said that despite
petitions and requests from private citizens and towns, we here in the
wilds of Le Marche are stuck with narrow band for the forseeable
future. No fastweb, no ADSL, no nothing.
