hi there,
i´m planning to drive my family from munich-germany to turkey in
summer and i´m not sure wether we can take the risk( is there still
any) and take the shorter way through serbia-montenegro/kosovo to
macedonia-greece-turkey.
The second choice would be 500km more to
vienna-budapest-bukarest-black sea and than south trough bulgaria to
istanbul and further on...
Does anybody of you have experiences so far?

first of all
the normal route is via
Beograd Nis Sofia istanbul
but the turkish emigrants travel to italy by car
and take a ferry to istanbul from Ancona
or from Bari/Brindisi to Greece.-
then Alexandropoulis / Istanbul
all the road to Nis is turnpike..
from Sofia to Istanbul it is a very nice road.
I do not see any problem if not the traffic.
all the turkish emigrants in europe go back home by car, expecially when the
big car factories in germany close for summer vacations.
I do not understand why you want to go through
Macedonia (I guess republic of macedonia)
and Montenegro.
