G'day
I'm looking at taking a 9 day trip through europe with these guys (Italy,
France, Switzerland - The essential Europe tour). Can any one let me know if
they have had good or bad experience with this crowd ?
Thanks
Greg.

The usual bus tour. Functional but rushed. "If it's tuesday it must be..."
They'll take you to designated factory tours and restaurants. Also watch
out for special add on's, such as special dinners.

I've taken 2 Globus tours--one through the UK and another in Eastern Europe.
The services were excellent for both--beautifully organized and efficiently
run. Exceptionally good food en route. What I did not like was the fact
that in so many stops we were taken to places where one could shop. This
wasted a lot of time for me and meant less time for serious sightseeing.
Also, I would avoid the special evening dinner programs which were
expensive, with crummy local entertainment.
And, as in all tours, there were places where you wished you could spend
more time.

We took their tour in Italy and enjoyed it. True, they do take you to places to
shop, but if you've never been to Europe before, it's probably the best way to
get an overview of the countries you'll be visiting. The quality of the tour
depends a lot on the tour guide. Our's was very good and made the trip, even
the shoping stops, very interesting. If I had to go on another tour I would
have no problem going with Globus.
