Giant's Causeway questions
My guidebook says this place can get pretty crowded, but I really like
geological curiousities at lot, yet I am making a 'road trip' in
Ireland from 20 May to 6 June precisely to avoid crowds and take in the
natural beauty and ruins. Just Trinity College and the Guinness place
in Dublin, then I'm out of cities for good. So I'm looking for advice
on visiting this place, avoiding tourists.
I learn there is a Causeway Hotel that is right near the place - if I
get there at night, how early can I visit the Causeway the next morning
before the ETGs arrive? The guidebook lists an tourist center opening
gee at like 10am, and the the carpark charging an outrageous 5 pounds.
Does that mean the car park opens at 10am? Can I just walk there from
the Causeway Hotel? How busy is that hotel around 1 June? Totally
seriously - if first light is 4:30am I have no problem getting up early
to avoid the ETGs. I'm a stickler for photos with no tourists in them.
Please advise, thanks much.

On their website http://www.giants-causeway-hotel.com/ the hotel states that
the Giant's Causeway is "on their doorstep." You might want to email them
with specific questions about early a.m. accessibility.

You can park for free at the hotel, which is next door to the centre -
about 100 yards away, or on one of the nearby roads.
You don't have to go through the visitor's centre to get to the
causeway, which is about a kilometre down the hill and you can go there
any time.
I'm sure the hotel receptionist could tell you how busy they are at that
time.
