[not quite Europe but only a few hundred miles off-topic...]
Is there a local bus or dolmus service that would get me to the
otogar from Antalya airport at midnight? I'd rather not stop off
in Antalya itself, prefer to get moving eastwards immediately.

there are two terminals in Antalya
one for domestic arrivals and one for international arrivals
both of them will be offering a lot of taxis
do not worry
Turkey is safer than any other country in europe
they care about tourists
they need their money

Where are you going?
We had a good couple of weeks between Antalya and Alanya a few years back.
Would be pleased to give any guidance.

Kurdistan (Urfa for starters, then as far east as Hasankeyf on the
Tigris) which is a long way away so we don't want to hang about on
the Mediterranean too long. Been through Antalya a few years ago,
it's okay but it isn't what we want to see this time. In my
experience there isn't usually much problem finding a bus going the
right way out of a Turkish city of this size at any time of day or
night, so long as you can get to the bus station in the first place.
Looks like the options are a taxi to the otogar (could be expensive
and I really don't trust taxi drivers anywhere not to rip me off) or
else stay in Antalya for the night. The airport is several km east
of the city, the otogar is a similar distance northwest.
This seems to be an "I wouldn't start from here if I were you" sort
of question.

Sorry, can't help you much, haven't been up there - mainly 'cos all the
local advice was that we wouldn't be let in! We got to the Syrian border on
the coast (3 days after 11/9!) without too much trouble, but we were very
much put off going into Ararat, Van etc. Ended up playing around with the
Silk Road in the Cappodocia region!
