I've crossed many times from France to Belgium without showing a UK
passport. Transit between Schengen countries is not EU nationality
dependent.

Between Belgium and NL there hasn't been anywhere to show ID for
sometime.

The news report I found didn't make any distinction on nationality. It
said France and the Netherlands had suspended Schengen.

Does that include citizens of the Independent Republic of Yorkshire?

Well now since England has never been in Schengen this seems
a tad unlikely.

Is everybody who posts incorrect info here a liar?

The group must be full of liars in that case :-)

Italy hasn't suspended Schengen so no change there.

You can do that whatever your nationality, indeed there's
no border crossing point to show ID at if you wanted too.

I think there is probably a temporary place now. How else can the
French suspend Schengen?

Damn right there. Everyone who has posted here has been wrong at some
time or another. Those who deny ever being wrong are the ones to be
really wary of.

So congratulations to Albert who gave first the very precise answer :
"Apparently" he uses temporarily a kind of "clause de sauvegarde".

So where does it say it only applies to Brit.s?

plannen gemaakt. Frattini onderstreepte dat lidstaten afgesproken
maatregelen sneller in praktijk moeten brengen.

Would that have prevented the bombings?

All they do is check for passports right, not go through your luggage?
