First-time Rome. Hotel Julia? Any other hotel suggestions?
Hi all,
Planning to surprise my girlfriend for her birthday and take her to Rome for
3 nights.
Been looking at Hotels in a central location that are reasonably priced and
above average.
I've found a Hotel Julia. Anyone stayed there? Thoughts?
And other hotel recommendations for Rome.
Thanks In Advance

The Best Western near the Termini was very reasonable, clean and
surprisingly quiet being so close to the train station and across from the
opera.

Not having been in Rome for a very very long time, I can't comment on the
hotel. I will be in Rome in October and have found the www.venere.com
site to be very helpful. It is easy to use and contains user comments on
the hotels.

I have stayed at the Hotel Julia twice in the past year, most recently in
November 2002. I have been very satisfied with it. The price can not be
beat, clean rooms, good buffet breakfast included, CNN tv and the location
is very convenient. You can walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza
Navona, pantheon in 20 minutes or less. Subway and bus close etc. Can walk
to Termini station in 20-25 minutes. I will stay there again.
