Your not a woman. Men tend to not notice as much. I didn't say it was
dangerous, I said it can be unpleasant, especially at night.
Having said that, I checked out the location of the hostel & it looks OK.
Better south than north as you say. I wouldn't stay in that area myself but
she's young & hostel-traveling so she'll meet people of like minds. :o)
