Decent hotel in Manchester close to the airport?

Hi,
my wife is travelling through Manchester this summer and she'll have to
stay overnight in Manchester. Can someone recommend a decent hotel
(clean single rooms with own bathrooms, good breakfast also for
vegetarians) close to the airport? Money is not a great deal (the
employer pays), but within limits of decency.

There's a nice Radisson at the airport (I've not stayed, but I've been
in the lobby area)- I don't know if that's within the limits you
mention. If your wife eats eggs, getting a vegetarian breakfast will
present few problems almost anywhere in the UK- if she's vegan, it will
be more of a challenge, but not too hard at 'decent' places and up.
Alternately, Manchester airport is well connected by train to central
Manchester- that will open up more possibilities. The Ibis and
Travelodge chains there are fine (The Charles Street Ibis is close to
Piccadilly Station). As you would expect, there are plenty of chain
hotels (Hilton, etc.) near the airport.

Good choice, we stayed the Manchester Radisson and the CDG one.
THe Manchester Airpoort one is contiguous with the airport, so she
will not even have to go out of the area.

This was our final choice (much cheaper than Radisson). Thanks to you
and all the other who responded.
