Default cricket pitch in cornish "canyon"

9 years ago I was driving through Devon/Cornwall and happened on a cricket
game in an incredibly scenic valley-floor locale. In my memory there were
giant rocky outcroppings in a steep valley, such as the Wiley Coyote might
drop anvils from onto the roadrunner below (though I'm probably
exaggerating this now). I have no idea where this was, but would like to
go back again. I found it quite by accident, and found out later from my
grandfather (born 1910) that he had played his one county-level game there
as a young man, either for Devon or Cornwall, I can't remember.

Many thanks for replies and information --Pete Fossey

http://www.cricket.org/link_to_datab...A/GROUNDS.html

this page has maps to click on for all the grounds, so it may jog your
memory.
