Well, he may mean they'll be free of PEOPLE, too! The
potential participants in a projected WW3 may have changed
with the demise of Russian Communism, but there's still
plenty of ill-will towards men (and women) out there, and
bigger and more efficent weapons are still being developed.
(Somehow, I don't find the notion of nuclear weapons in
the hands of religious fanatics exactly reassuring - the
"cold war" was largely a matter of who could out-bluff whom,
but when opponents believe "God" is on THEIR side......)

I was making a pedantic remark about his grammar. It would take a
little longer to unravel your unexamined assumptions.

There are two eco-cities being constructed in China as we speak.
They won't have cars and as I recall San Francisco and a number of
other American cities are heading in the same direction.

Yeah sure. When I was last in San Francisco a couple of months ago
there were so many cars it was hard to drive thru. Will their lack of
cars come before the death of the sun?

Since years, he's posting this stuff again and again. And the fact is:
He has /ALWAYS/ found somebody, who starts a thread on it. It never
fails, even though it must have been 100 - 500 postings (under different
pseudos).
While he might not know a lot about traffic technology, it has to be
admitted, that he has a very realistic view of Usenet participants...
